The enzyme has been reported from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and from mycobacteria. The enzyme from Mycobacterium tuberculosis can also use UDP-¦Á-D-glucose, but the activity with ADP-¦Á-D-glucose, which is considered the main substrate in vivo, is higher. |
